Double Rainbows~

Well, I'd like to start off blogging about yesterday! It was awesome! I got to take my senior portraits and I absolutely LOVED them. Haha. I thought it was really fun to get to take pictures. I've taken professional photos before but this was my first time doing it alone. I usually take them with my family. xD Anyway, I thought that the photographers were really nice and funny. I brought my guitar so that I could strike a pose with it. Haha. 

My appointment was at 3:45pm Tuesday, which was a short day so I got out of school early. How awesome! I got to go home get ready and change up. Lol I was really excited. The excitement I feel is sort of like my freshman year excitement. Haha. 

Andy Le kept me company while I was there. =) Thank you.... Along the way, Vincent Chieu, Catherine Troung, Jenny Ly, Sarah Tang, Fenny Chong and a bunch of other people showed up after me. It was really fun to see the people in my grade all dressed up, ESPECIALLY Rene Mendez! Oh my GOSHHHH!! He had his hair cut and combed nicely and he was ALL DRESSED UP! I thought he looked really good compared to his everyday scruffy carefree look. Haha.

So I had this really casual outfit and then I changed into a dress and then I had my graduation gown on! I was so amazed when I saw myself in a graduation gown in the picture they printed out. I thought to myself, "I can't believe this is it, my last year." Time flies so fast. I still remember being a freshman and getting used to things around school, making new friends and having lots of fun. And now it's my last year, gosh... sometimes I wish that time would slow down so that I can savor every moment and cherish high school! 

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say about yesterday! Right now, at this moment, I think it is still raining/drizzling outside. That's pretty crazy. Just two days ago Los Angeles hit a record high of 113 degrees Fahrenheit. That was a seriously hot day. Even the breeze felt like it could burn your skin.

But today, it was nice and cool with some sunshine around! I liked it when I stepped into the sun and felt how warm it was. About 2 hours after I got home, it was all cloudy and it started to rain. I even saw my friends on facebook post that there was a DOUBLE RAINBOW in the sky! I went outside to look for it, but I only saw one rainbow. I was kinda dissapointed, but its okay. Lol. 

As I walked around outside and looked up into the sky to stare at the rainbow, I could feel the raindrops on my skin. It felt really nice. I just reminded me of Malaysia and how amazing the rainstorms there are. 

Then I realized what type of weather I liked. I did not like hot burning weathers or gloomy cloudy days. I liked the weather when the air is cool but sunny so that I can feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. At least warm enough so that I don't have to wear thick jackets. Haha. 

But yeah anyway~ that was my day & yesterday... hahaha =)

Sunday Lunch!

Like every Sunday, I go to church. But today Andy Le came to church with me! =D It was awesome. I invited him to have lunch with Cyrah and me because I "owe" hanging out with him. LOL So yeah, we met up around 10:40am at Lollicup and walked to church. I was at eye level with Andy! LOL Thank to heels! ♥

Anyway~ after we got there and found Cyrah, we realized that there wasn't exactly going to be Sunday School. The place was set up with different missionary trip booths. Each booth was for a different country. At first we just stood around and talked. After awhile, Andy spotted Julie and went up to "scare" her. LOL I think it worked. While he talked to Julie, Cyrah and I went to the Thailand booth and the Soviet Union booth. (I thought the USSR has changed its name to Russia?) After those 2 booths we just went to where Julie and Andy were. The group dispersed when I got there. How sad. =.=" LOL.

When there was only Cyrah, Andy and me left. We didn't want to stand in the middle of everything and do nothing. So we decided to go to the most vacant booth - the East Asia Booth. When I walked up to the booth, the person in charge of it was Auntie Winnie! I got so excited! LOL Auntie Winnie has been a family friend sicen I was born! xD

She was talking to some old ladies. So I waited. I noticed that every10-20secs or so she would take a quick look at me. At first she didn't seem to recognize me. But after a while I think she figured out who I was. I looked different today because I was wearing 4-inch heels and make-up! haha Old ladies talk a lot! I had to wait for some time before Auntie Winnie was done. When she was, I gave her a huge hug! And she gave me the most painful pat on the back ever (A FEW TIMES) LOL. I was so happy to see her!  =)

After that, we had to go to the 11 O'clock service because there was no Sunday School. Ironically, the first person giving testimonies was Uncle Warren - Auntie Winnie's husband. LOL I tried to look for him after service to say hi! But I couldn't find him =( So oh well.

Later we went out to lunch at Pho Broadway!!! =D We had some goooooood food! When we were done, we went back to church, chilled and played with Cyrah's guitar! xD We stayed there until Anne Tan called Andy and wanted her notebook back. So Andy walked to Lollicup and then called me and then I had to walk there. Then we chilled out and waited for Andy's sis' to bring the notebook.

When she arrived, she took me home! xD YAY! And when I got home I was like SO HAPPY! =)

Central Library

Hello! =) So right now I'm blogging from the LA Central Library Downtown... I'm lying down on one of the giant bean bags in the teen's section and a Pirates of the Caribbeans 3 is playing right in front of me. Lol

So I'm here because earlier today I was here doing research for my Senior Seminar Project. xD I got two useful books and I started planning out my project with Chiara =) Yay ^_^

Ahhh it is so relaxing right now.... I just wanna fall asleep in this bean bag LOL xD

Anyways~ I won't say so much. Lol. I want to just watch the movie now =).

It was lots of fun! I really enjoyed myself! It was so relaxing. I just wanted to stay there, chill out or sleep. haha I got to eat good food. I played ping-pong and some volleyball. And I watched some people play chess. I played one round of pinnacle? LOL idk what the name of the game is. LOL

Anyway, it was awesome! ^_^

AP Biology!

Some elaboration~

All right~ So that was a vague description of my school life. I am really excited. I really am! I LOVE all my classes. All my teachers are awesome! I thank God so much for always giving me the best of everything. I can't be more thankful! =)

I think the most exciting class I have is Senior Seminar. I love all my other classes, but I think Senior Seminar is going to be my favorite. I get to design my own project and eventually present it at CalTech! OMG So cool! *Every nerd's DREAM!* My partner is Chiara Zhou <3 Yay! She's awesome. I like her enthusiasm. She is the unforgettable type of person. My first impression of her was someone who was hyper-active and excited about everything and had colorful nails! haha.

We had lots of crazy ideas. One of them was to test to see if putting a person's finger into warm water while they were asleep would actually cause them to pee in their beds. It was a really funny idea, but I don't think either of us likes the idea of cleaning up people's pee. I don't think many people would let themselves be our test subjects either. LOL

Yeap, so I am looking forward to that.

Besides that, I want to go to Homecoming. I'm not sure if I want to go to prom because it's A LOT of money. Maybe I'll go to the luau too (If it doesn't get canceled again). And I want to do the powderpuff day! xD Seniors vs. Juniors!

AND Looking forward to graduation!!! =)
Btw, this year's color is RED! Hence my reddish blog color! ^_^

Oh yeah, and right now, I am on fall break. It is kinda weird, but its okay~ I don't mind. =)

Last year in High School

Omg! I can't believe it. I am already a senior. Crazy isn't it? I still remember when I was a freshman trying to figure out where my classes were. Wow, the last 3 year just flew by. I had such an awesome 3 years and I'm looking forward to my last (and hopefully best!) year!! =)

So anyway, I made a new blog page specially for my senior year! I'm going to try and update it once a week or so~ more or less. I'm pretty sure senior year will be an interesting year. So I'd like to keep track of it all! (Or at least as much as I can!)

Ummm... for starters, I shall tell you what classes I have

Period 1 - AP Literature - Ms. Lauer
Period 2 - AP Mandarin - Ms. Chai
Period 3 - AP Calculus BC (2nd yr) - Mr. Luu
Period 4 - AP Calculus (I'll explain why it repeats)
Period 5 - AP Economics - Mr. Zapata
Period 6 - Senior Seminar - Ms. Paulson
Period 7 - Honors Physics - Ms. Sork
Period 8 - Service Learning - Ms. O'Reilly

For those who don't know, 'AP' stands for Advance Placement. That means it is college level and if I pass the AP test, I can get college credit! So cool! xD

So this year my school has changed to what they call the "Block Schedule." Hence, my 8 classes compared to the traditional 6 classes I had previous years.

I have 4 periods a day. I have Odd Periods (1,3,5,7) on Mondays & Thursdays. Then I have Even Periods (2,4,6,8) on Wednesdays & Fridays. Well you probably notice Tuesday is missing. Tuesday will alternate between the Odd and Evens. It's kind of confusing. I'm still getting used to it.

As you can see, my 3rd and 4th periods are not on the same days. Those are both my Calculus class. That means I have my calculus class everyday, unlike my other classes which meet every other day. It's kinda like college yeah? Well, not really, but close enough right? LOL

Oh yes. And I cannot forget about Joseph who is now a freshman in High school. I like that he comes to school with me. Now, I'm not the only "Chin" in school. LOL Anyway, I shall update more later! Byebye!
